I remember the first time that I understood the concept of acting. My father had a postcard tacked above his workbench that was a backstage photograph on the set of Annie. There was Miss Hannigan, sitting in a canvas chair, not being evil. I experienced intense confusion surrounding this photograph, and that confusion, combined with fear, implanted her image pretty firmly in my mind. So all it takes is a photograph of Coco Rocha reclining on a bed with a cropped mop of curls to bring my memories of this fascinating, terrifying woman back.
